Havnnes is a small harbour on the Uløya island with a population of around 50.

In the autumn of 1944, German occupation troops have burnt most building in Havnes, but decided to spare a most houses for their historical value.The pontoon is protected from winds but some swell.

Getting there

By commercial transport

Havnnes is accessible by sea through the Hurtigruten or by ferry from Rotsund on the mainland.

By road, 120 km from Tromsø, but four hours drive since it requires two ferries on the way.

By own boat

The manager of the guest harbour is very active and is developing the services to attract tourists. 250 NOK for a night (May 2018) Nice sauna. In winter it's a base for Ski.
