Tensta Church

Bengt Jönsson Oxenstierna

Tensta churchn was built at then end of the 13th century in the brick gothic style. The frescoes in the church are signed by the master Johannes Rosenrod in 1437. The church donor, Bengt Jönsson Oxenstierna is represented kneeling in front of Saint Peter.

The runestone dates from early 12th century. The inscription reads: "Þorbjôrn and Þorsteinn and Styrbjôrn had the stone raised in memory of Þorfastr, their father. Œpir carved."
