Oxelösund

Oxelösund is a very busy harbour that used to be extensively used for the mining and melting industry. It is hosting a large refinery.

The sailing from Sotckholm or Södertälje through the Trosa archipelago is very scenic and numerous natutal harbours are on the way (Ringsön, Hävringe...).

The Femöre fortress was constructed in 1962 and equiped with artillery to protect the harbour. It is no longer in use and can be visited. It is located next to the Fiskhamnens marina, and 3 km from tyhe Oxelösund marina.
