Linde church
Linde church is a medieval church in Central Gotland built in romanesque style between the XIIth and the beginning of the XIIIth century.
The outer side of the doors of the altarpiece represents scene of the legend of Saint Giles. The altarpiece dates from 1521, just before the reformation. Top left, Saint Giles in monk dress with a rod in his hand; bottom left, Saint Giles with a book in his hand in front of a monastery; top right, martyrdom of Saint Giles; bottom right, St Olof and St George.
Inside the retable (below) is Godfather with Jesus surrounded by St Giles and St Olof.
