Mem is the entry point in the Göta canal and its first lock. On the way to Mem, from the Baltic sea, you can make a stopover to the Stegeborg castle, a ruined castle that was constructed in the early XIII century to protect the access to Söderköping.

Getting there
The marina in Mem is included in the canal pass. It is located just after the first lock. There is a small foodstore.
The Stegeborg castle and guest harbour is located 7 miles before.
