Bislett Stadium, Oslo, Norway, September 4, 1921
The fourth triangular meet between Norway, Sweden, and Denmark was held in Oslo in early September 1921, drawing a crowd of 11,000 at Bislett Stadium. They did, however, fall short of the 1919 attendance record (22,000).
Six-time Swedish champion Sven Lundgren secured victories in both the 800m and 1500m. Paris Olympic silver medalist Gunnar Lindström won the javelin event.
Olympic triple jump silver medalist Folke Janson achieved the best result with a jump of 14.60m (47-10 ¾), earning him third place in the season’s world rankings. Erling Aastad of Norway set a national long jump record of 7.22m (23-8 ¼), placing in the world’s top ten. Carl-Axel Christiernsson's winning time of 15.3 in the 110m hurdles was also world-class.
Sweden scored 36 points, winning the meet for the fourth consecutive time, with Norway scoring 26 and Denmark 18.
