لقد منحهم إيمانهم العميق بالله، وثقتهم بأنفسهم، وتفاؤلهم بغد أفضل قوة مكنتهم من التعامل بحنكة مع تحديات الحياة الكثيرة.

Their deep faith in God, self-confidence, and optimism in a better tomorrow, gave them power to cope ably with life’s numerous challenges

عندما غسلوا قلوبهم بمياه النوايا الطيبة دخلتها ملائكة النور وهربت على الفور منها فلول الظلام.

When they cleansed their hearts with the waters of good intentions, the angels of light entered them and the agents of darkness fled precipitately

حماكم اللهُ من شرٍ ومن ضررٍ

لم يكرسوا كل طاقاتهم واهتماماتهم للعالم وبضاعته بل خصصوا قسطاً من وقتهم للكشوفات الداخلية فعثروا على نفائس مخبوءة.

They did not dedicate all their energies and interests to the world and what it has to offer, but they set aside a portion of their time for inner discoveries and found therein hidden treasures

صادٓقوا الصدق واعتبروه خريطة طريق فلم يضلوا السبيل أو يتنكبوا عن جادة الصواب.

لم يتجاهلوا ذلك الصوت الذي همس لضمائرهم بالرغم من خفوته، بل أصاخوا السمع إليه

They didn’t ignore that sound which whispered to their consciences though it was faint. Rather, they hearkened to it, understood its import, realized its significance, and followed its guidance

عندما تتعاهد القلوب على المحبة والوفاء تزداد قرباً من بعضها مع توالي الأيام والأعوام ويغمرها فيض من نشوة الحبور.

When hearts vow love and loyalty, they become increasingly closer to each other “as the swift seasons roll” and revel in a flood of ecstatic felicity

لم تكن مياه تلك العاطفة الفريدة ضحلة أو سريعة التبخر بل كانت عميقة، نقية، صافية، منعشة، وعصية على النضوب.

The waters of that unique affection was neither shallow nor fast evaporating. Rather, it was deep, pure, clear, and not subject to running dry

لقد تحدوا العوائق وتعاملوا كما يجب مع الظروف الصعبة فكانوا بذلك واسعي الحيلة وأحرزوا إنجازاً كبيراً.

They challenged obstacles and dealt ably with difficult circumstances. Accordingly, they were resourceful and great was their accomplishment

يقال أنه عندما تكون الأدعية في منتهي التركيز يرتفع مطلقو تلك الابتهالات معها، متحررين بذلك من الكثافة الأرضية والثقل النوعي.

It has been said that when prayers are offered with utmost concentration, those who offer them rise with those invocations, being thus freed from the earth’s density and specific gravity

لم تبهرهم أمجاد العالم الزائلة لأنهم كانوا يتشوقون دوماً إلى ما هو أعظم وأكثر ديمومة.

The fleeting glories of the world did not dazzle them because they were ever longing for things that are greater and more lasting

ظاهرياً، قد يماثل التقليد الأصالة من كل ناحية إلا في الجوهر، وهناك من يعرف الفرق بين الاثنين.

Externally, the counterfeit may resemble the original in every aspect, except in the true essence. Nonetheless, there are those who can tell the difference between the two

They were giants in their good intentions, clean dealings, innate simplicity, straight path, and their minds that were dedicated to creative and useful thoughts

بدت الحياة لهم أشبه ما تكون بلعبة شد الحبل بين الخير والشر فانضموا إلى فريق الخير لترجيح كفته وتغليبه.

Life seemed to them a tug of war between good and evil; they joined the goodness team to boost it and make it the winner

الصباح الذي تُرفع فيه قلوب الناس إلى خالقها يولِّد قوة واعية تجلب قدراً من الطمأنينة والإدراك البديهي للتعامل بنجاح مع ظروف الحياة.

The morning in which people lift up their hearts to their Creator, generates a conscious power that brings a measure of inner certainty and intuitive perception, to deal successfully with life’s circumstances

غالباً ما لا نرى الأشياء الثمينة الأكثر قرباً منا بسبب الجري الحثيث خلف ظواهر براقة في محاولة للإمساك بأوهام سرابية وتحقيق أحلام خلبية.

Often we do not see the precious things that are closest to us due to running and rushing after glittering phenomena in an attempt to capture illusive mirages and fulfilling chimerical dreams

استخدموا أفكارهم وكلامهم وأيديهم وقلوبهم كوسائل فعالة لتعزيز الخير ونشر ثقافة التفاهم والحوار البنّاء بدلاً من التنافر والشحناء.

They utilized their thoughts, words, hands, and hearts as effective means to bolster goodness and spread the culture of understanding and constructive dialogue instead of disunity and hate

كانوا نقاط إشعاع بأفكارهم التقدمية الجريئة، وثباتهم، ونبلهم، وصدقهم، ووفائهم للقيم الانسانية التي عشقوها.

Their brave and progressive ideas, firm resolve, nobility, honesty, and devotion to the humanitarian ideals that they loved so well, made them points of light

مثلما تحوّل حرارة اللهب العجينَ إلى خبز شهي، هكذا تحوّل حرارة التركيز الإيجابي الأفكار المشتتة إلى غذاء نفسي يسمن ويغني من جوع.

As the heat of the flame transforms the dough into delicious bread, so does the heat of positive thinking change the scattered thoughts into healthy and satisfying mental nourishment

لتكن الأصوات والعقول والأقوال والآراء إضاءاتٍ ومنارات وشواخص إرشادية على دروب الحياة.

Let voices, minds, sayings, and opinions be glimpses, beacons of light, and direction signs on the paths of life

حاول البعض ضبط الفكر لخمس دقائق فقط لا غير فتحداهم وأفلت منهم. آخرون تمكنوا من ربطه وتقييده بدلاً من السماح له بأخذهم هنا وهناك.

Some tried to control the mind for only five minutes, but it defied them them and ran away. Others were able to leash and tether it instead of allowing it to take them hither and thither

مهما بدت غوائل الدهر مهيمنة ودواهي الشر متنفذة يبقى الواثقون متيقنين من غلبة الخير والحق والنور في الشوط الأخير.

No matter how overpowering the vicissitudes of time are and how authoritative the crafty forces of evil, those who possess true faith are certain that the forces of goodness, truth, and light will ultimately win

تفعيل الإمكانات الإبداعية + تنشيط الإرادة وتوجيهها في المسارات الصحيحة + إيقاظ القلب وتغذيته بالمحبة والتواضع = إنجاز العمر.

Activating the creative abilities + energizing the will and correctly directing it + awakening the heart and nourishing it with love and diffidence = life’s ultimate achievement

لم يجدوا في العالم الخارجي ما يستوعب أشواقهم ويحقق طموحاتهم ويسعد قلوبهم فتوجهوا إلى العالم الداخلي وعثروا فيه على ضالتهم المنشودة.

They didn’t find in the external world what accommodates their longings, fulfills their aspirations, and gladdens their hearts; therefore, they sought the inner world and found therein what they had been looking for

بالرغم من الظروف الصعبة لم يسمحوا لشباك التعاسة باصطياد تفاؤلهم وتغييب فرحهم، لقناعتهم بأن الفرح عافية، والتفاؤل قوة، والصمود في وجه المعاكسات فضيلة.

حولوا رغبتهم المُلحّة للارتياد إلى قوارب نفسية رشيقة للإبحار في محيط النور الذي لا ساحل له.

They channeled their urgent desire to explore into fast mental boats to navigate the shore-less sea of light

في القلوب الكبيرة مشاعر ودية، وفي النفوس الطيبة أنوار بهية، وفي العقول المنفتحة أبواب للحرية

And who lives in this world as a visitor

ما لم يقترن العلم بالتواضع يجنح المرء للتكبر والغرور. الله يحب المتواضعين ويزيدهم علماً وفهماً.

Unless knowledge is coupled with humility, a person tends to be haughty and conceited. God loves the humble and increases their knowledge and understanding

في كل نفس طيبة شجرة مباركة لا تذبل أوراقها ولا ينقطع ثمرها ولا تقوى عواصف وأعاصير الشر على اقتلاع جذورها أو تحطيم أغصانها.

There is a blessed tree in every good soul; its leaves never wither, nor its fruit ever cease. The storms and gales of evil are powerless to eradicate its roots or destroy its branches

امتلٓكوا قناعة راسخة بأنهم لن يكونوا آمنين مطمئنين بدون الخالق الودود ولن يصيبهم ضيم بجيرته وجواره فاختاروا القرب منه لأنه الخير الأعظم.

They were fully convinced that they will now enjoy safety and security without the loving Creator, and that no harm will beset them in His presence; so, they chose to remain close to Him because He is the Supreme Good

الاستقلال عنصر حيوي لا يمكن للشخص الاستغناء عنه، إذ بدونه لا يستطيع أن يكون سعيداً أو مبدعاً أو ناجحاً.

Independence is a vital and indispensable element, for without it a person cannot be happy, creative, or successful

الثناء المستحق يمنح دفقة من الأمل والتشجيع، وهو دافع إيجابي يعزز الثقة بالنفس لمواصلة الجهود والتغلب على العقبات.

A well deserved compliment gives a burst of hope and encouragement, and it is a positive motivation that reinforces self-confidence to maintain the efforts and overcome impediments

الإحباطات قد تكون مريرة والعوائق كثيرة، لكن الفرص متاحة لمواصلة المجهود والسعي الدؤوب نحو تحقيق الهدف المنشود.

Frustrations may be bitter and obstacles numerous, yet opportunities abound to maintain the effort and vigorously work toward the attainment of the desired goal

In every soul there is a vast sky that reveals, when clear, a sun of happiness, a moon of beauty, stars of hope, and meteors of freedom

In spite of the difficult circumstances and urgent demands, their faith remains strong and unshakable that the light of truth will shine forth from the midst of darkness and that the good is on the way

القلوب التي لا تتعاطف مع المحزونين ولا تشعر بشعورهم هي قلوب صلدة موصدة.. لا تستجيب أبداً للمسة الإنسانية ولا تحركها مشاهد البؤس.

Hearts that don’t sympathize with the sorrows of others nor feel for them are hard and closed hearts; they never respond to the human touch and are not moved by scenes of misery

إن الذي وهبنا العقل يريدنا استخدامه في نشر الخير والاستفادة من قدراته غير المحدودة. تباركت العقول المبدعة والأفكار النيرة التي هي مٓعقد الرجاء للتقدم والنجاح.

هناك لغة عالمية شاملة هي لغة المحبة والتفاهم، وهي اللغة الأسهل والأفضل للتواصل والتعامل بنجاح، على أمل أن تأخذ مكانها اللائق وتصبح الأكثر انتشاراً في العالم.

There is a universal language: the language of love and understanding. It is the easiest and best language to successfully communicate and interact. Hopefully, it will take its rightful place and become most prevalent in the world

وعن الصحبة الحسنة قيل: الأصدقاء ذوو العقول الراجحة والضمائر الحية والقلوب الطيبة يعززون إمكاناتنا الذاتية ويضاعفون مواردنا العقلية.

البعض يحاول مواراتها لئلا تُقرن بالضعف، لكن ظهورها العفوي يضفي عليها مسحة طهر لأنها تغسل القلب وتسقي تربته العطشى.

Some try to hide it lest it be associated with weakness. Its spontaneous appearance, however, gives it a touch of sacredness because it washes the heart and waters its thirsty soil

أنجزوا ما يستحق الإحتفاء ودوّنوا ما يستحق القراءة.. كما أنهم بسّطوا حياتهم فتحرروا من التعقيد.
