ركز على عمله أملاً في بلوغ النجاح الذي يصبو إليه

She walked blithely on lonely paths shaded by towering trees
وجه غض يعكس نضارة الروح
A soft and tender face reflecting the freshness of spirit

He was too hard on his employees

Sensations are transferred to the brain through the nerves
الحجب الوهمية الكثيفة تحول دون استشعار الحقيقة
The thick delusive veils stand in the way of intuitively perceiving reality

تبددت الشكوك وبزغت أنوار اليقين

كانت تبحث عن سعادة دائمة لا تتحول إلى رماد

That doesn't turn into ashes
يتعلم المرء من أخطائه وتجاربه
A person learns from his own mistakes and experiences

I can handle it and handle every demanding situation
أرغب من كل قلبي في مصادقته

ظهرت صورته جلية على لوحة ذاكرتها
His image appeared clearly on the plate of her memory
كانت تقاطيعه وسيمة لكنها لم تنبئ بسهولة عما يعتمل في نفسه
His features were handsome but did not easily reveal what lived inside him
تلامحت سعادتها العميقة في ابتسامتها الملغزة
Her deep happiness appeared in her enigmatic smile

كثيراً ما تساءلتُ إن كان من سر خلف ظلمة العينين المغمضتين
Often I wondered if a mystery existed behind the darkness of closed eyes
اكتسحت عقله فكرة قوية وعميقة
A strong and profound thought overwhelmed his mind
تلألأت في فضاء نفسها ومضات إلهامية
Inspirational glimpses sparkled in the sky of her soul
دوائر من الفهم تزداد اتساعاً مع اتساع دائرة المعرفة
Circles of understanding ever expanding
with the widening of the sphere of knowledge
تعجز الكلمات عن وصف طيبته وشهامته
Words fail to describe his goodness and magnanimity
حصل على ثروة معرفية دائمة
He acquired a permanent wealth of knowledge
لا زالوا يحملون آثاراً لندوب نفسية عميقة
They still carry scars of deep psychological wounds
رن تصميم قوي في نبرات صوتها
A firm resolve resounded in her tones
نصحهم بعدم تبديد قوة الكلام على أشياء سطحية تافهة
He advised them not to waste the power of speech
On shallow and trivial things
خاطبه بانتباه عميق واحترام وامتنان بالغين
He addressed him with deep attention and profound respect and gratitude
تلك الكلمات البسيطة نقلت آفاقاً من المعاني
Those simple words conveyed skyfuls of meanings
في انعطافات صوتها نغمة غاية في العذوبة
The inflections of her voice have an exceedingly sweet tone
عمل ما بوسعه لتحرير نفسه والآخرين من المشكلات والمخاوف
He did his best to free himself and others from problems and worries
تملكه اعتقاد جازم أن طلباته ستتحقق ودعاءه سيستجاب
He firmly believed that his requests will be fulfilled and his prayers answered
وقفت على شرفتها ورنت ببصرها إلى الأفق البعيد
She stood on her balcony and gazed into the distant horizon
حملت عيناها من الدهشة أكثر مما لكلماتها القدرة على التعبير
Her eyes held more amazement than her words could express
يشعر بقوة تحاول ثنيه عن بلوغ هدفه فيقاومها بعزم وإصرار
He feels a force trying to dissuade him from reaching his objective
And he resists it firmly and determinedly
عندما يسمح لذهنه بالانغماس في السلبيات، غالباً ما تهاجمه أفكار عقيمة وغير سليمة
When he allows his mind to indulge in negativeness
Idle and unwholesome thoughts often assail him
كلما أسدى صنيعاً طيباً أحس ببهجة غامرة وشعر بحيوية متجددة
Whenever he performs a good deed he feels a pervading joy
And experiences a renewed vitality
شعرتْ بانجذاب نحو الفقراء واليائسين فعملت ما بوسعها على مواساتهم وتخفيف أعبائهم
She felt drawn to the needy and hopeless people
And did here best to console them and lessen their burdens
الصداقة هي كالنبتة الغضة التي يتعين سقيها بماء المودة والاحترام المتبادل
Friendship is like a tender plant that should be watered
With the water of affection and mutual respect
كن مع الله ترَ الله معك
Be with God and you will find Him to be with you
عُرف بدقة التعبير وعمق التفكير
He was known for his preciseness of expression and deep thinking
تركت في نفسه انطباعاً باهراً
She made a dazzling impression on him
أحس بعاصفة من المشاعر غير التوافقية تكتسح كيانه
He felt a storm of inharmonious feelings pervade his being
استعادت عافيتها واستأنفت نشاطها المحبب
She regained her health and resumed her desirable activity
شعرتْ بآلام البشرية كما لو كانت آلامها
She felt the pains of humanity as if they were her own pains
درّب إرادته على القيام بالأعمال النافعة لنفسه وللآخرين
He trained his will to do useful things for himself and others
عقل موهوب وقادر على استكناه الدوافع الخفية
A gifted mind, able to perceive the hidden motives
شعّت كلماتها بأجمل وأنبل المعاني
Her words glowed with the noblest and most beautiful meanings
يغوص في قرارة ذاته دون عناء
He effortlessly dives deep into the depth of his being
تميل لقراءة الأدب الرفيع والقصائد الملهمة
She is inclined to read fine literature and inspiring poems
فكرها كالمغناطيس يجذب إليها أشياء جميلة ومفيدة
Her mind is like a magnet that attracts beautiful and useful things to her
يمتلك إرادة صلبة لا تنكمش أمام لطمات الزمن
He possesses a firm will that doesn't shrink before the blows of time
إياك وصاحب السوء فإنه يحسن منظره ويقبح أثره
Beware of a bad companion
His appearance is pleasant yet his actions are loathsome
حافظ على عالمه الداخلي متوازناً ومتوافقاً بالرغم مما دار حوله من أحداث
He maintained his inner world balanced and harmonious
Regardless of the events that swirled around him
جنّب نفسه تعقيدات كثيرة لم يعتبرها جوهرية لا غنىً عنها
He spared himself numerous complexities
that he didn't consider essential and indispensable
تجنّبت كل ما من شأنه سلبها سعادتها وهدم شبابها
She avoided the things that would rob her happiness and wreck her youth
شحب وجهه ونضُبت حيويته وأحس أنه خائر العزيمة واهن القوى
His face turned pale, his vitality depleted
And he felt that he was dispirited and debilitated
أمضت أيامها تحلم به وتأمل في أن تتمكن من لقائه
She spent her days dreaming of him and hoping to be able to meet him
يتسم بحذق عميق وفكر نفاذ
He is characterized by a deep cleverness and a penetrating mind
أنعشها نسيم الجبال وشعرت بحيوية لم تختبرها من قبل
She was refreshed by the mountain breeze
And felt a vitality that she never experienced before
وقفتْ على شاطئ البحر وحدّقت بلهفة إلى الأفق الممتد
She stood on the sea shore and longingly gazed on the vast horizon
طاردته صور من الماضي ولم يستطع التخلص من حضورها القوي في ذاكرته
He was pursued by images from the past
And was unable to get rid of their strong presence in his mind
كان على حذر من السير فوق رمال الوهم المتحركة
He was cautious as not to walk on the quick sands of illusion
كانت أفكارها جميلة كالزهور البرية وكلماتها عذبة كعطر الزنابق
Her thoughts were beautiful as wild flowers
And her words sweet as the fragrance of lilies
صمد أمام تحديات الحياة
He stood firm in the face of life's challenges
راحت تستذكر الماضي وتعيش بعض أحداثه السعيدة
She recalled the past and relived some of its happy events
تشع منه أمواج إيمانية زاخرة تفوق حد الوصف
Indescribable waves of profound faith emanate from him
تعامل مع الأمر بحصافة وإيجابية
He dealt with the matter wisely and positively
لا تفتر عن ترديد الأدعية ورفع الإبتهالات النابعة من قلبها
She never stops repeating prayers and offering heartfelt supplications
كانت تشع جمالاً وتنبض صحة وتتألق براءة
She glowed with beauty, throbbed with health
And beamed with innocence
أغلق كتاب حياته على صفحات طوتها يد الأيام منذ زمن بعيد
He closed the book of his life
On pages that the hand of time had long folded
صور بديعة استثارت مشاعرها وجعلتها تحن للماضي السعيد
Superb images that stirred her feelings
And made her nostalgically remember the happy past
التمعت نضرة الربيع في محياها البديع
The freshness of Spring gleamed in her beautiful countenance
جمعت ما بينهما صداقة قوية لم تعبث بها النوازع الأنانية والأهواء الشخصية
A strong friendship existed between them
And was never tainted by selfish motives and personal desires
ومن يغرس لكي يجني سواه .. يعش ويموتُ من يحيا ليجني
He who plants that others may reap his harvest
Lives on, while those who live to reap die
تاق إلى تفعيل طاقاته الخلاقة وتجديد حياته
He aspired to activate his creative energies and to renew his life
اخترقت كلماتها قلبه واستقرت في ذاكرته
Her words pierced his heart and lodged in his memory
لم يقف خياله الجامح عند حد
His restive imagination knew no limit
استفحلت الأنانية في قلوبهم فغدت قاسية كالصخر
Selfishness took hold of their hearts and rendered them rock-hard
ما أبهى الصباح يبعث في النفس البشاشة والبهجة
How wonderful is morning! It inspires joy and cheerfulness
كان اللقاء الموعود أعز أمنياتها
The promised meeting was her most cherished wish
كنت أنصت إليها أحياناً وهي تعبر عن أعمق وأصدق أحاسيسها
Often I listed to her as she expressed her deepest and truest feelings
قالت أنها عندما ترى ذلك الوجه العزيز سترى الجنة على الأرض
She said that when she sees that dear face she will behold heaven on earth
صفوف الأنوار الملونة أضفت بهجة خاصة على الحدث
The rows of colorful lights shed a special delight on the event
غمرته أمواج من الغبطة وشعر أنه في ذروة الفرح
Waves of bliss engulfed him and he felt that he was at the peak of joy
فجأة تبدّت له رؤيا منذرة بالشؤم
Suddenly, he saw an ominous vision
لكنها لم تلبث أن تبددت كسحابة صيف عابرة
But soon it passed away as a sailing summer cloud
بزغت الفكرة في عقله فأضاءت زوايا كانت من قبل معتمة
The idea arose in his mind and shed light on previously dark corners
حاولت النأي بنفسها عن الأحداث المؤلمة إنما دون جدوى
She tried to remove herself from painful events, but to no avail
عجزت مشاعر الحقد والضغينة عن التسرب إلى قلبها النقي
The feelings of hate and malice were powerless
to gain entry into her pure heart
حاول ترويض العواطف الجامحة والمصطخبة في شبابه المضطرم
He endeavored to tame the wild passions raging in his burning youth
ودّع أوهام الدنيا وانصرف للبحث عن حقائق الحياة الجوهرية
He bid a farewell to world's illusions
And applied himself to seeking life's fundamental truths
جاء الصباح يحمل أنباء غير متوقعة
The morning dawned with unexpected news
بزغ تصميم فجائي في فكره
A sudden resolution arose in his mind
شعرتْ أن لا قدرة لها على العيش في عالم مجدب من الأصدقاء والأحبة
She felt that she couldn't live in a world barren of friends and loved ones
حملت نظراتها المواسية عالماً في الفهم الودي
Her sympathetic looks held a world of loving understanding
طلبتْ منه أن يعتصم بإيمانه بالله وألا يلقي بالاً لهواجسه
She asked him to hold fast to his faith in God
and not to pay attention to his worries
تساءلت ما إذا كان بالإمكان العثور على السعادة في هذه الحياة
She wondered whether happiness can be found in this life
اعتملت في قلبها آمال وردية وأمانٍ ندية
Rosy hopes and fresh aspirations surged in her heart
يجتاز دروب الحياة بإيمان ضمني ويقين راسخ
He silently crosses the paths of life
with implicit faith and unshakable certainty
أدرك أن النجاح هو الهدف الذي لن يتوقف قبل بلوغه
He realized that success is the goal
That he will not stop before achieving
الشعر أنيس الروح
Poetry is the soul's sweet companion
كان كلما تقدم به العمر كلما اتسعت مداركه ووضحت رؤيته
As he grew older, his perceptions broadened
And his vision became clearer
غالباً ما رأت مشاعرها تبرز من مكمنها وتتخذ لها شكلاً جلياً
Often she saw her feelings emerge from their hidden niche and take a vivid form
حتى إذا ما حاولت ملامستها عادت سريعاً إلى مكانها الأثير
And whenever she tried to touch those feelings
They would speedily return to their favorite spot
أحس بوجود حيّ ونابض في حياته يلهمه الأفكار الرفيعة والتصرف النبيل
He sensed a living and throbbing presence in his life
Inspiring him right thinking and noble behavior
في أوقات الشدائد والمحن يتوجه قلبه تلقائياً إلى الله طلباً للعون والهداية
In times of trials and difficulties, his heart turns spontaneously to God
Seeking aid and divine guidance
ما خاب من على الله اتكل
Those who place their trust in God never fail
كانوا يتلهفون شوقاً لرؤيته وتبادل الآراء معه
They were eager to see him and exchange viewpoints with him
لم يفته قراءة البهجة التي ارتسمت بوضوح على وجوههم
He did not fail to read the joyfulness, so plainly visible on their faces
انقضت سنوات قبل أن يعرف قلبها العزاء
Years passed before her heart knew comfort
قرع أبواب السماء بعزم ما بعده عزم
He pounded the gates of heaven with matchless vigor
اكتشف طاقات هائلة مختزنة في عقله وقوىً إيجابية لا حد لها بانتظار التفعيل
He discovered vast energies lodged in his mind
and immeasurable positive powers awaiting activation
أتت كلماتها أخيراً بالشفاء لجراحه النفسية العميقة
Her words finally brought healing to his deep mental wounds
كان ينهض مع الفجر ويقوم بزيارة تذكارية مؤثرة إلى تلك البقعة الأثيرة
He would rise with the dawn and make
a memorable visit to that cherished spot
غالباً ما كانت تبتهج برؤية الشجرة تنثر زهورها الغضة البيضاء
فوق الحشائش الخضراء فتعيد إليها ذكرى الأحبة
She often enjoyed seeing the tree strewing its soft, white flowers
on the green grass, reminding her of her loved ones
وفي بعض الأحيان كانت دموعها تمتزج بقطرات الندى
At times, her tears would mingle with the dew
وتختبر نوبات شديدة من الحنين تكتسح مشاعرها
And experience intense spells of longing pervade her feelings
أدرك أن القيادة الحقيقية تكون بالقدوة
وأن من يصلح نفسه يصلح كثيرين من حوله دون زجر أو تنديد
He realized that true leadership is by example
And that the one who reforms himself reforms many others around him
Without resorting to admonition or denunciation
أصغى بانتباه تام للأنباء المثيرة
He listened with full attention to the exciting news
قابلتْ الخطة غير العملية بابتسامة خفيفة
She received the impractical plan with a light smile
اتخذ من ملاحظته العابرة ذريعة للسخرية منه
He used his passing remark as a pretext to ridicule him
اهتز كيانه بأسره لكلماتها بكيفية يصعب تفسيرها
His whole being inexplicably thrilled by her words
كان أمراً طبيعياً وفي منتهى البساطة
It was a normal and utterly simple matter
إن للواجبِ صوتاً .. مثل رعدٍ قاصفِ
The voice of duty is stentorian like thunder
شعرت بحب كاسح يجتاح كيانها
She felt an overwhelming love pervade her being
كان ينصت لبلاغتها بذهن مشتت
He was listening to her eloquence with a distracted attention
لكنها كانت تصغي لذاتها بكل جوارحها
But she was wholeheartedly listening to herself
صمم على المضي قدماً بمشروعه ولم يتمكن أحد من ثنيه عما اعتزم تحقيقه
He resolved to go forward with his project
and no one was able to dissuade him from what he intended to achieve
ناح قلبها لفقدان أعز الناس إليها
Her heart wept for losing the dearest person to her
شعر أن العالم أسرته وأن من واجبه أن يقدم شيئاً نافعاً إلى تلك الأسرة
He felt that the whole world was his family
And that it was his duty to render something useful to that family
تلك الانطباعات التي لها أثر دائم في الذاكرة
Those impressions that are permanently fixed in memory
زرعت أحلامها الزاهرة على دروب الآمال العذبة
She planted her rosy dreams on the paths of sweet hopes
لم ترُق له حياة الفراغ والضياع فانتهج منحىً جديداً ليستثمر طاقاته في مجالات نافعة
He did not relish the life of emptiness and non-productivity
So he changed the trend in order to invest his energies in useful pursuits
أطلق خياله المجنح في فضاء الإبداع
He released his winged imagination into the realm of creativity
تعطرت حياتها بالتصرف النبيل والأخلاق الفاضلة
Her life was fragrant with noble actions and exemplary character
غمرتهم فرحة لم الشمل
They were engulfed by the joy of reunion
لا يألو جهداً في محاولة رأب الصدوع وتجفيف الدموع من العيون الحزينة
He spares no effort trying to heal the rifts and wipe the tears from sad eyes
كان يقوم بالدور الصعب للأب والأم في نفس الوقت
He played the difficult father-mother role at the same time
أصبح أكثر عطفاً وقرباً من ذي قبل
He became more affectionate and closer than before
تقوم بحل مشاكل أسرتها بهدوء وحكمة
She solves the problems of her family with calmness and wisdom
كان يخلد للسكينة كالناسك في خلوته
He would seek the serenity of seclusion like a hermit in his retreat
