Local time

Time is local demonstrates Einstein.

A given sequence of events preserves its order in any referencial only if they happen at the same location, if they take the same place.

This is true in astrophysics. It is even more true in computer networks, or in fact, in human communities, if the events one considers start having noticeable propagation times, which is the case of memes.

The concept of synchrony only makes sense in a context of syntopy!

Synchronizing distributed systems means artifically reporting them to one (more equal than others) centre.

In human activities, this is called management. The manager's consciousness is the centre to which all events are reported.

This brings a distorsion, which is seldom considered.
