Dieffenbachia seguine is a species of Dieffenbachia that originates from tropical America, from Southern Mexico, Central America, to northern South America and Brazil. In Asia, the Sri Rejeki flower has been considered a lucky plant for centuries. This plant first became known to Europeans when it was brought to the Royal Botanic Garden in England in 1885. There, the aglaonema was cultivated, hybridized, and developed into various cultivars.
This plant naturally grows in tropical rainforests at elevations of 1,600 meters above sea level. In its natural habitat, the money plant requires low light intensity or shade with high humidity and temperatures of at least 20-30 degrees Celsius. Money plants grown in areas that are too cold will develop dark spots on the leaves.

Initially, this plant has a pseudostem, and as the plant grows taller, a true stem emerges. This stem will then sprout.
The leaves are green with silver markings, and the surface texture is smooth and has a thick waxy coating, giving the leaves a shiny appearance.
The flowers have white to ivory-yellow sheaths. They are arranged in cylindrical clusters.
The fruit is round and attached to an elongated cluster.
