( Amarylis Sp)
Amaryllis, botanically known as Hippeastrum spp., has many varieties. Amaryllis flowers come in a variety of colors and patterns, including red, orange, pink, white, and batik amaryllis. Amaryllis is a flower native to South America and parts of Africa. In Indonesia, it is known as Amarilis.
Amaryllis is a type of flowering plant native to subtropical regions. This plant can be grown in Indonesia in areas with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 20°C at night and 20°C to 25°C during the day. Amaryllis flowers typically begin to bloom at the start of the rainy season. These flowers typically only last for 2-3 weeks because they are frequently exposed to rain, making them susceptible to damage.
Most Hippeastrum bulbs are tunicate (a protective, dry outer layer and concentric fleshy inner scales or leaf bases). Bulbs are generally 5–12 cm (2–5") in diameter and produce two to seven evergreen or deciduous leaves that are 30–90 cm (12–36") long and 2.5–5 cm (1–2") wide.
The leaves are hysteranthous (developing after flowering), sessile (borne directly from the stem or stalk), rarely persistent, and subpetiolate.
Flowers: The flowers are arranged in paucifloral or plurifloral umbelliform inflorescences supported on an upright, hollow scape (flower stem).
Propagation by generative (seeds) and vegetative (tubers)
