The Nusa Indah plant originates from the Philippines. Initially, it was a wild plant growing in bushes on hillside slopes. This plant is generally grown as an ornamental plant. Besides being beautiful, Nusa Indah also has good benefits for health.
The Nusa Indah flower grows in both lowlands and highlands, or at an altitude of 1–1,700 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.). This plant can flower in the summer, and harvesting can be done throughout the year.
Root: Fibrous root, yellowish-white color.
Stem: Round shape and highly branched, the stem surface is rough and brown.
Leaves: Simple (single), stalked with leaves embracing the stem (subsessile), ovate shape with pointed tip and base, opposite and alternate arrangement, finely hairy, pinnate venation, green color.
Flower: Compound inflorescence, appearing at the tip of the stalk, the flower cluster is umbrella-shaped (umbel), the small flowers are trumpet-shaped and yellow.
Seed: Taproot-like seed (This description is unusual for a seed; likely means the plant has a taproot, but the seed description is separated below), small, lanceolate shape, brownish-yellow, brown color.
Propagation: This plant can be propagated through stem cuttings.
Cures influenza, fever, cough, tonsillitis, sore throat, skin ulcers (koreng), wounds, boils, prevents and treats breast cancer.
