Yesterday was a very VERY long chase day. We caught the only supercell in Oklahoma yesterday, right before dark. It had really nice storm structure, some very large hail (including one to my noggin as I was out of the truck... OUCH!) and one chaser reported a funnel cloud from it (although we could not confirm that). I got some nice still shots of it, so the day wasn't a complete loss. We ended up having late dinner and checking into our hotel at around 1:00 am, and now we're looking at today's options. North central Oklahoma or southeastern Kansas, perhaps?

The 1630z update is out now, and here's what it looks like:
I'm not sure what our target area will be yet, but we're going to head a bit north.
Oh, and I finally got yesterday's pictures posted. See them HERE.
For those who are interested, we have traveled 3,146 miles so far on Tour 1. Here's the travel map for yesterday:

A tornado watch was just issued... but it covers a LOT of territory!
