Tuesday, May 20, 2014 @ 0910 CDT: Yesterday, on the chase, we moved to Kearney, NE, then North Platte, NE, but things just weren't panning out, so we ended up heading to dinner at the Whiskey Creek there. Then we saw where the activity to our northwest had kicked back up, so we went back out and witnessed a great lightning display. All in all, not a bad chase day! Sorry, I only took video of the lightning display, so I hope to share some of that with you later... but here are a few pictures from the day.

As for today's prospects, it looks to be another slight risk day for tornadoes, and since I seriously doubt that we're gonna try to make it all the way to far-eastern Iowa, our play will likely be in the general area of where we already are... which is North Platte, NE. Tomorrow, though, is looking MUCH better! Here's the SPC's view of things:

...and here's yesterday's travel map:

Tuesday, May 20, 2014 @ 1200 CDT: We have left North Platte, NE now, and are heading west... initially bound for the Cheyenne, WY vicinity.
