We headed out of Colby this morning, needing to put some miles behind us for some possible chase conditions in Texas tomorrow. Along the way, we stopped at Monument Rocks for a prime photo opportunity. I just love Monument Rocks! Every time you turn a corner, there's yet another gorgeous picture awaiting you...
Then we took a detour and went to Greensburg to see how their recovery efforts are going, two full years after the devastating tornado of May 4, 2007. They have made some good progress, but they still have an awfully long way to go. I wish them all the best with their efforts.
We then got back on track, stopping in Liberal for dinner and on to Guymon, OK for the night. I personally have VERY fond memories of Guymon, since that's the area where I took my National Geographic photograph!
Tomorrow morning we will reassess the conditions and hope that there's something to chase!
