Well, I made it to Oklahoma with a minimum of difficulties... I encountered quite a few people wearing masks in the airports and on the planes. Personally, I think they're idiots, but whatever blows your skirt up, so to speak...

Oh yeah, and there was another problem when I got to Oklahoma: it was REALLY COLD! Tornado chasers (and Floridians!) love the heat, which is needed to get the atmosphere really percolating. Anyway, since the shorts and sandals that I wore from Florida weren't NEARLY enough to keep me warm, I put on my jeans and tennis shoes as soon as I could!

Later, we had the Tour 1 orientation, and we all got our official 2009 Cloud 9 T-shirts. Just a part of the tradition...

Otherwise, nothing much to report. It doesn't appear that there will be much to chase until Tuesday, so we'll probably end up heading to Amarillo tomorrow ... and visit the Big Texan. STEAK!!!

Mark made it quite clear where he wants to eat, though, and SOON!

So that's pretty much it for today. I'm going to get some much-needed shuteye now... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.............
