Saturday, June 1 @0945 CDT: To all who expressed concern for our safety during yesterday's events in and around Oklahoma City, many thanks. All of us who are involved with Cloud 9 Tours are just fine. Yesterday's chase was a humbling experience... and one that none of us is likely to forget...

While pictures and video cannot possibly begin to show what yesterday's events actually FELT, it's still the best I can do for those of you who weren't actually there. I haven't even looked at my video yet, but HERE ARE SOME PICTURES.

We had planned to stay in Norman, OK last night, but getting there was impossible. Traffic in and around the metro area was horrendous, with massive numbers of people trying to evacuate the city. Instead, many areas just became a parking lot... and it is incredibly fortunate that one of the tornadoes didn't mow right through those parking lots, taking many many lives with it.

Anyway, instead of trying to maneuver our way to Norman, we went south and stayed in Lawton, OK. We will proceed to Norman later this morning in preparation for our flights out on Sunday.

Here's our travel map for the day:
