Wednesday, May 29 @0915 CDT: My apologies for the relative lack of updates here during the last couple of days. My responsibilities changed temporarily, and I needed to relocate to the lead van for a time, so my time and attention was diverted. I'm back in John's truck now, so now I can try to catch up. Hopefully I will be able to do so during the course of the day today.
In any case, yesterday was a PHENOMENAL chase day! We saw a long-lived and enormous tornado west of Bennington, KS, and it essentially sat in one spot for about 45 minutes. I do not believe anyone was hurt, either, since it was all happening essentially in the middle of nowhere. THAT'S what we want to see!
And today, we have another MOD RISK day, so hopefully we can do it all over again!

Wednesday, May 29 @1200 CDT: The SPC has backed off a bit in their 1630z update, but even so, it doesn't really alter our plans. We're still moving further SW...
Wednesday, May 29 @1330 CDT: Okay, now it can be revealed. Lori and Charles Edwards are now Mommy and Daddy. Emma Grace was born on May 27th at 3:15 am... 7 lbs., 10 oz. and 21 inches long. Our heartfelt congratulations to them. I know they will be fantastic parents!
