Sunday, May 26 @0900 MDT: Wow! We ended up traveling a L-O-N-G way, up into South Dakota, and the cell that we kept watching on radar just kept meandering around, seemingly waiting for us to get there. And guess what? It DID wait for us to get there! No, there was no tornado, but it was a storm with gorgeous structure! And along the way, we got into 3+ inch hail, and two of our three vehicles now have busted windshields. Yep... That's the chance you take with these storms. HERE are some representative shots from the day.
Today looks pretty good as well, as does the majority of my final week of chasing. I sure could use a down day for a laundry run at this point, but no matter, I can handle it for great chasing! *lol*
Here's yesterday's travel map:
Sunday, May 26 @1130 MDT: Change of plans! No chasing in Montana today. Mt. Rushmore, first, then relocation travel for a good chase tomorrow in... Nebraska?
