Sunday, May 5 @ 0815 CDT: Storm-chasing options look pretty bleak for the short-term here in Tornado Alley, so it looks like today we will be chasing steaks. No argument from me! My guess is that we will head to Amarillo, TX and the Big Texan. Rumor has it that Andre, who tried to consume the 72-oz. steak last year will give it another try... with a different (and hopefully successful) strategy. Go for it, Andre!!! Sunday, May 5 @ 1800 CDT: We have made it to Amarillo, TX and are preparing to head over to the Big Texan at 7 pm CDT. They're sending limos to pick us up. I can't wait for my traditional T-bone steak and a few ENORMOUS beers there! Andre will likely attempt the 72-oz. steak once again, so feel free to virtually cheer him on my watching him on the Big Texan's live webcams! Just go to the link above and follow the webcam links.

Sunday, May 5 @ 2330 CDT: What a great meal at the Big Texan, and a phenomenal effort put in by Andre on the 72-oz. steak! He finished the steak, but was unable to finish eating all of the sides before the hour was over. Even so, he set a record for our Cloud 9 family! Hats off to Andre for a job well done (on a medium rare steak).
