Saturday, May 18 @ 0815 CDT: Yesterday was a GREAT chase day! We caught a FANTASTIC long-lived and quite photogenic tornado near (or perhaps IN) Eliasville, TX. WOW!!! Some photos from the day can be seen HERE. And today --- the final day for our Tour 1 folks --- looks to be a pretty good one as well... as does Day 1 for Tour 2!

We're making it an early start today, so we're grabbing some breakfast here at the hotel and then we'll hit the road. Fortunately we won't have to drive as far as we had originally thought. Wooooohooooo!!!

Anyway, more as I hear it... For now, here's yesterday's travel map:

Saturday, May 18 @ 1145 CDT: Approaching Woodward, OK now, and we'll probably continue north into Kansas. The 1630z update from the SPC looks almost identical to what we saw earlier this morning, so conditions look QUITE favorable for supercells in our vicinity later today.
