After getting some breakfast, we started tracking an interesting cell NNE of Topeka, so we went for it. It produced a nice shelf cloud but eventually became a hail producer and HP. We punched the core and got some video, then headed back south to set up for storms later in the day.

We ended up heading southwest on I-35 (after just leaving Wellsville, KS), but there weren't any discrete cells left for us to chase. Everything lined out. In fact, that line of storms ran all the way to the panhandle of Texas!

So it looks like Tour 1 will be shut out again this year... <sigh> Damn!!! Now we'll make our way back to Norman tomorrow and meet up with the Tour 2 folks for a big dinner tomorrow night. We'll be sad to see the Tour 1 folks leave, but it's been great chasing with them!
