The Martian Moons eXploration (MMX)

MMX - Martian Moons eXploration mission will travel to Mars and survey the red planet's two moons; Phobos and Deimos.

Mission to bring back the first-ever samples from Phobos, a moon of Mars. MMX carries a dustbuster-like instrument to collect pieces of Phobos that is based on PlanetVac, a Honeybee Robotics technology.

Launched 20 October 2026, with the return to Earth targeted for 2031 with samples of Phobos.
