Ms Aarti Matthews

Responsible for working with NASA over the Red Dragon mission in May 2018

Aarti received an MEng in 2002 from Imperial College London and went on to get MSc from the International Space University in 2004

she has worked for the European Space Agency as a Systems Engineer (Human Spaceflight & Robotics Group) and also briefly for Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Systems Engineer for JPL Mars Outpost Group in 2004.

overseeing the build of the flight robotic arm for the Mars Science Laboratory mission

Mission Manager and project/mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience in leading, managing, & working on complex & challenging aerospace & robotics programs.

Established record of steering & collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver products on time & under budget in international, industry, & government settings. From mission-critical, multi-million dollar spaceflight hardware to R&D prototype systems – has undertaken management, system engineering, electro-mechanical design, & analysis on a diverse array of projects.

Engaged in supporting various strategic & business development activities including: novel concept generation, advanced studies, customer/partner liaising, & proposal development.
