Makemake a Kuiper belt object(KBO) was discovered by Michael E. Brown, Chad Trujillo & David Rabinowitz on March 31st 2005,

Makemake is a likely dwarf planet and perhaps the second largest Kuiper belt object in the classical population, with a diameter approximately two-thirds that of Pluto.

Makemake

Makemake has one know moon MK2 about 100 miles (160 km) in diameter

It is the second furthest dwarf planet from the Sun and is the third largest dwarf planet in the solar system.

Unlike Pluto Makemake does not have an atmosphere it most likely has a layer of methane at its surface giving Makemake is reddish-brown colour.
