Chandrayaan-3

Chandrayaan-3 mission, which will be India’s second attempt to land on the moon after the failure of the Vikram lander, part of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, in September 2019.

Latest launch date is NET July 2023.

Unlike Chandrayaan-2, which included an orbiter and a lander, the latter carrying a rover, Chandrayaan-3 will only have a lander and rover, along with a propulsion module to transport the spacecraft to the moon.

The original goal was to launch on a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) to be by the end of 2020 to early 2021.
