San Nicolas Island

San Nicolas Island, just of the coast from Los angeles is a U.S. Navy facility used for missile testing and is military-owned and operated.

San Nicolas Island is currently under considered by DARPA to a fully functional Space Port.

This would be an ideal location for SpaceX and its BFR system, due to its production at San Pedro in the Port of LA.
