Isaac Morgan

1892 - 1933

Isaac Morgan was one of seven brothers who all rode: he was born in Waterford, Ireland, around 1892.

He had his first ride over jumps on Edge Off which finished fourth in the Gorse Handicap Hurdle at Gatwick on March 13, 1909.

He won the 1912 Becher Chase on Thowl Pin and the 1913 Valentine's Chase and the 1923 Gatwick National Trial.

Isaac was exercising a pony at Waterford on Friday, February 10, 1933, when he suddenly fell ill.

He attempted to ride home, but, just before he reached his door, he fell off the pony and was dead when he was picked up.
