Tate's Invasion of Aztlan

Background

Although Weasel and his friends halted Tate's ambitions on Planet Squid by killing Jermie, Tate had a backup plan. In fact, the very reason he had sent Santa Muerte to Aztlan in the first place was to steal the Book of Xibalba, an ancient text he had heard about from a traveling Black Sun Priestess. Although angry at Weasel and his friends for ruining his plan A, he resisted the urge to invade Aurea as a revenge mission and instead transitioned smoothly to Plan B. With almost all of his available warlords and a massive army of mercenaries, Tate set out to start his plan. Using a portal stone procured for him from Atlantea by his former warlord Shelby, he instantaneously transported himself and his entire army to the northern shores of Lake Coxcote on Aztlan. Given literally no time to prepare, the inhabitants of The Zocalo (Aztlan's capital city built on an island in the middle of Lake Coxcote) detached all of the causeways across the lake linking the island to the mainland as soon as they saw Tate and his troops arriving through the portal. After this, the Zocalo Security Council (Daniel Rainbowmask, Shelby's associate Kira, and Olivia) is tasked with defending the city. Unbeknownst to the Aztlanians, however, Santa Muerte had arrived with Tate and used Shadow Death to reanimate thousands of zombies in the Cenote to distract the Aztlanian Army.

Battle 1: Battle of the Zocalo

Terrain: The city of The Zocalo has a tall set of adobe walls and occupies pretty much the entirety of a large island in the center of Lake Coxcote. Lake Coxcote is thousands of feet deep and is home to extremely dangerous creatures such as Sarcosuchus and Mosasaurs. Four detachable causeways connect the island to the mainland, but the Aztlanians have already detached these.

Troop Numbers (Tatians):

-4,200,000 Zombies (unarmed and absurdly easy to kill but will turn anyone killed by them into zombies)

-9,000 Mercenary Infantry (mostly Squidian and 108er)

-4,500 Mercenary Archers (mostly Squidian and 108er)

-4,500 Mercenary Cavalry (mostly Squidian and 108er)

-10 War Mammoths

-1 T. Rex

Troop Numbers (Aztlanians):

-400,000 Aztlanian Infantry

-200,000 Aztlanian Archers

-200,000 Utahraptor Cavalry

-2,000 Triceratops Riders

Outcome: Major Tatian Victory, Tatians ransack The Zocalo and advance into Campeche Swamp.

Aftermath: During the battle, the Aztlanian Security Council, facing imminent defeat, called in Shelby, who was travelling back to Aurea with Weasel and his friends. Within a few hours, the Pa-Ankh landed in The Zocalo and Weasel and his friends had arrived on Aztlan. However, while Weasel and his friends were on their way, most of the Aztlanian Security council was fighting zombies in the Cenote, and Tate creatively seized the opportunity by using Astral Rock to collapse the Cenote entrance, trapping them inside. One of the first things Weasel and his friends did on Aztlan was break into the Cenote and get the Aztlanian Security Council out. After another mission into the Cenote to recover the Tlaolani's Crown for King Cullen of Aztlan, Weasel and his friends pursued Tate and his forces into Campeche Swamp. After they fix some problems there, they encounter a trading post owned and operated by Monquistadors, space pirates from Rinascita.
