Jadium

Jadium, as the name suggests, is a jade-colored metal first developed by either the Platypusians of Atlantea (who refer to it as "greenstone") and is created by alloying osmiridium with copper. The knowledge of how to make jadium quickly spread around the galaxy, quickly replacing more primitive weapons made from its namesake, jade, as jadium had the exact same color but had a strength and pliability much more closely resembling iron. Jadium and obsidium are usually the minerals of choice for the infamous scalpel-like blades of the Aztlanian macuahuitl sword-club, as jadium, while slightly weaker than iron, can be chiseled into much sharper blades, and is often used as a substitute for iron in swordmaking when iron is unavailable. Jadium has a very low melting point for a metal (only 362 degrees fahrenheit), making it useless for most industrial purposes.
