Astral Magic

HISTORY

Long ago on Atlantea, the Dolphinesians obsessively prayed to the Sun, Moon, and Stars. They eventually bestowed on them the power of Astral Magic, which first spread to the Atlantean Civilization, then the rest of the galaxy. Unlike Shadow Magic, Astral Magic symbolized order and control rather than chaos and destruction, and is far less dangerous. Most religious leaders in the galaxy have at least some background in it, and unlike Shadow Magic, its artifacts have nothing to do with learning it. Astral magic has been the force allowing relatively primitive civilizations to engage in space travel for over 30,000 years, until Ishgabangaloodoo's rapid industrialization.
