Unfailing Love

“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your

salvation. I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.”Psalm 13:5-6

Salvation came to each of us as a gift in the form of Jesus. How our hearts rejoice in that! We no longer have to live in fear of death or the hold Satan once had on our lives, for we are alive in Christ and our hope is eternal. It was love, the unfailing love of the Father, that prompted our salvation. It was love that led Jesus to the cross. It was love that refused to leave us in sin and death, but chose rather to offer what was most precious to pay the penalty for us. Surely this is a love that we can trust for all eternity! Such an unfailing love is ours because the Father loves us unconditionally. His love for us knows no bounds: it cannot be contained. Surely this is a love that has gained our trust. We can trust the Father with every aspect of our lives, because it is His love for us that motivates each action therein. His love redeemed us, His love adopted us as children and His love will see us home. Now that is cause for rejoicing! 

Father, you have been so good to me. Surely I will sing your praises! Thank you for the gift of salvation; how my heart rejoices in the gift of Jesus! Your love is overwhelming and yet it is mine. How can I not trust you with all parts of my life? Forgive me when I hold back out of fear. Father, I ask that your love would crush those fears and move me forward where you want me to go. Surely you are worthy of all the praise, the honor and the glory forever! Amen
