No Other Name Under Heaven
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12
Jesus Christ is our salvation! Jesus Christ has freed us from sin and death. He cut the chains that once bound us. He lifted us up out of the pit. And the most amazing thing is we did nothing to deserve this act of grace. It was a gift to the most unworthy. Now that we have experienced salvation, what is our reaction to this gift? How then shall we live? Do we live lives that shout we are free? Does our countenance shine with peace and contentment? Do we extend to others the grace that was so freely bestowed upon us? Yes, we have been saved, but we must not stop there. Our lives must reflect Jesus to others that they, too, might taste of the salvation of Jesus Christ.
Father, thank you so much for the sacrifice of your Son for our salvation! I know it cost you a great deal to watch your beloved Son die such a horrible death. How grateful I am that your love for us was so great that you made that sacrifice for me. And dear Jesus, thank you for giving up all that you had to save me, a sinner. Live in me, shine through me, that others might come to know and love you as I do that they, too, might taste the sweetness of your love and salvation! Amen.
