Everlasting to Everlasting . . .
"From everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children." Psalm 103:17
In 1 John 4:8 we read that "God is love." Here in this psalm David also testifies who God is. His testimony is the same as John's. God's love is never-ending to those who serve Him. His righteousness, that is, His merciful mode of justifying the ungodly, is extended from us to our children and to our children's children. No one is left out. Reconciliation through Christ has been extended to all people and will be proclaimed for all time. For, in His love, God sent His only Son to die for us that we might be made acceptable in His sight. We have the joy of not only knowing that we are forgiven, but also of living in His love. No matter what comes our way, there is one truth that we need to remember and not let it be overshadowed by the cares of this life, and that truth is that our Heavenly Father LOVES us FOREVER! Not just today, not just tomorrow, but forever! Bask in His unending love for you, today!
Thank You for Your unending love. Father, You loved us before we even knew You. You made sacrifices for us before we were born. Your love reached us while we were yet sinners. Your love for us is the same today, tomorrow and forever. I want to bask in that love I want to let it so overwhelm me that I can do nothing else but respond to this world with the same kind of love. Let me be the conduit for Your love, Father. Let it flow through me to others. Amen
