Eternal Life

"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." 1 John 5:11

Eternal life in Christ, what better place is there to be? It is not a future hope; it is a present possession to one who has faith in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Are we living as if we possessed eternal life? Are we living life more abundantly than our neighbors are? Are we living life purposefully sure of what the Father's will is for our lives? Are we running the race set before us knowing we will finish in victory because our eyes are fixed on Jesus? Satan would have us live a life of doubt and fear. God would have us live a life of confidence in Christ. The choice is ours.

Father, thank you for the positive assurances in your Word that with Christ Jesus at the center of our lives, we will be victorious. We come to you with our doubts and fears and lay them at your feet. May we leave them there and fix our eyes on Jesus who will make us more than conquerors! Amen.
