Victory

"But thanks be to God! He gave us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!" 1 Corinthians 15:57

Victory is ours through Jesus Christ. Victory over sin, death and the grave is a done deal, for it was at Calvary that Christ Jesus paid that price and set us free. How much there is to be grateful for! We not only have been freed from sin, but we are called to live a life of victory here and now. We can only do this through Jesus Christ, for he is the one who gives us the victory, both the initial victory over sin and death, and the day to day victory of living for Christ. We must learn to depend on his power, his strength, and his guidance in order to live victoriously. Yielding ourselves to his wisdom and submitting our lives to his plans and purposes will bring continual victory in our lives. Victory is ours through our Lord Jesus Christ! His Word states it as a fact. Do you believe it? Will you live it?

Thank you God, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord! Thank you for the assurance that we can live lives of victory and not defeat! Help us to believe it with all our hearts and then help us to live it. Keep us focused on Jesus and enable us to remain faithful through his strength and power until that day when we will meet you face to face! Amen
