My Grace is Sufficient
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made strong in your weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9
God’s grace is not only sufficient, it goes beyond that. We are so unworthy, yet His grace reached down and made us acceptable in His sight through the blood of Christ. God’s grace takes our weaknesses and transforms them through the Holy Spirit into mighty strengths. Paul knew very well what it was like to have God work through his weaknesses to do great things for the cause of Christ. When Paul was a Hebrew of Hebrews he had no need for Christ. On the road to Damascus, Paul became blind; and though he would later receive much of his eyesight back, he was never the same. That thorn in his flesh would serve to remind him of his need for Christ. It is because of our deficiencies that we seek Jesus Christ to make us whole. Were we already strong we would have no need for Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. We can go forward this day with the assurance that God’s grace will flow through our lives with such force that all our weaknesses will be totally surrounded by His power and thus made strong. Let us praise Him for the mighty work of grace in our lives! His grace is more than sufficient to see us through; and because of His mercy, all glory and honor will rise up to praise him!
Thank You for Your grace and how it will see us through. Make Your power strong through my weakness, Lord. We know we are weak and we can do nothing without You. Thank You for Your power that transforms us into mighty warriors for You. Help us to live out Your purpose for our lives and to let go of our plans unless they are of You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
