Class Collaboration

1. The subject of my creation is water in a land, it's like a puzzle piece. The work was made by looking at a smaller piece of the picture then you had to draw the larger piece. I used contrast to show the light colors from the darker colors. I also used formal balance to make the larger piece match the smaller piece.

2. Some composition rules I used was formal balance to balance everything and I used grouping to show the different things in the artwork. My project evolved because at first I just drew the outline of the art then I shaded one of my drawings and added color to another one of my drawings.

3. The meaning behind my artwork is that I drew something by looking at a smaller picture and then drawing the enlarged image and added all the elements. The class all got to pick pieces to enlarge to add to our class collaboration. This relates to my life because I made and image larger by paying attention to the elements and principals. When I was in 8th grade we did something like this where everyone in the class had to enlarge a piece of the picture and when we put them together it was beyonce. In the future I would add color to the one I shaded and I would have added more details from the smaller piece to the larger piece.
