Animal Assemblage

The subject of my creation is a flamingo and the setting is the flamingo on top of many different colored beach umbrellas. My artwork was made by using newspaper to form the body then I taped it so the body stayed together. After that I made the neck using the same process. I painted the neck pink and made the beak out of tissue paper. I also used paint chips to cut out as feathers and hot glued them to the body. By using sticks as the legs I could slick the into the flamingo and the foam board. I chose to create this because most people were doing animals and a flamingo came to mind. One element I used was shape by cutting the paint chips out in a certain way to make them look like feathers. One principal I used was pattern by continuing to overlap different shades and tints of pink.

Sharp focus because when you look at my Flamingo you notice the body right away. Your eyes are directed towards the body. My project evolved overtime because I had to find something to use as legs. I also used many different beaks to determine what different materials worked the best.

The meaning behind my artwork is that I love flamingos and I think they're so cute! This relates to my life because I it shows that using different materials you can make something cool out of them. If I where to do this project again instead of using paint I would use something else to make it have a greater variety of materials.
