Word Graphic

The subject of my creation is a word that I changed to make it look like a graphic design. I made this by first looking at the word “chair” and determining what I can make out of it. I used fine tip pens to create my project. I chose to create this because I saw a chair with the “H” so I thought of doing a person. In my work I used line to draw the word so that it looked like the word chair. I also used movement in the lines in the chair so it looks like the object is moving.

In my artwork I used balance, to balance of the left side of the chair from the right side of the chair. At first I did not know what I was going to do with chair, but then I saw I could make a chair with the letter H. I also want to add a person, so I made the C into a head and AIR into lines, that were supposed to look like legs.

The meaning behind my artwork is I created something using my imagination, by turning the word chair into something different, while still showing that chair was the word I focused on. We see many word graphics everyday, whether is a store, tv show or even different different brands. This project introduces word graphics in life, and allows me later to understand the message the brand is trying to show. In my project next time I would add more color to my work to make it less boring and use up more white space.
