Remember, this extra credit assignment is NOT mandatory. To earn full credit you must show a deep analysis of the characters and themes. Your project should be creative, unique, AND insightful.

You are to select ONE of the following projects that will be equivalent to a 50 pt. test and complete it by January 4th.

  1. Draw or paint a picture which represents a theme of Macbeth. Must be at least 11x17 in size and be colorful. The picture must be accompanied with an index card on which you will write a paragraph explaining your drawing and what it represents. 2. Create a comic book depicting a scene or scenes from Macbeth. Turn this into a mini book.

  3. Choose either Duncan, Banquo, Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Fleance, the witches, or Macduff, and burn a CD with at least seven contemporary songs that represent the character you have chosen. The poster should be accompanied by a written explanation of your poster, including an explanation of any visual images used or casting choices made.

  5. Create a diorama of any scene of Macbeth. A diorama is a three-dimensional miniature or life-size scene in which figures, stuffed wildlife, or other objects are arranged in a naturalistic setting against a painted background. Google: “diorama” for examples of what one looks like.

  6. Videotape or perform a live newscast highlighting action from Macbeth

  7. Create a Macbeth puppet show, record it, and burn it onto a rewriteable CD. Must be at least 5-7 minutes long. Use Barbies, G.I. Joes, other dolls or action figurines, or puppets you’ve created yourself!

*Make sure your name, my name, and your block is written somewhere on the project.

WARNING: do not choose something because you think it will be “easy” as I will be grading you on how much effort you put into it. If it looks like you did it on the bus on the way to school, worked on it while watching X-Factor, put it together while on the phone making plans for the weekend, then it will probably NOT receive a good grade. Also, if it looks like it was used to protect the contents at the bottom of your schoolbag, or your nephew decided to make it into a paper plane, or you glued three scraps of paper to it and called it a day, then you will NOT receive a good grade.
