What is Rich
In the words of the late Stan Lee, with great power comes great responsibility. The United States is run by and for rich people. Much of America is owned by rich people. I think it's fair that American rich people should help to pay for America's bills and America's poor people.
However, what is rich.
We hear lot's about the 1%, the elite that own most of everything. However, the from a global perspective, Americans are rich. To qualify for the top 1% of the world, you need a household income of $32,400. To qualify by wealth (including home equity) that would be $770,000. In an expensive American city, you could barely be able to keep your house.
However, this definition is for America, so I am going to use American figures. However, I define rich in the US as the people who own our country. Those of you in other countries may substitute figures for your own country
I define rich (I) as being part of the 1%, that's about $0.7 million a year
I define rich (II) as %0.1, that's about $2.7 million a year
I define rich (III) as 0.01%, that's about $26 million a year
