Nonpartisan elections

The rights of citizens at large are more important than the rights of the political parties and that of their members

All redistricting shall be conducted by a nonpartisan group

Elections of representatives at large will not be winner-take-all but will be required to be proportional. This includes the electoral college

Political parties will no longer be allowed to control who is in the ballot

Ballots will no longer be by party, but at large

Primaries will, at least, have five finalists or all of the candidates, whichever is smaller

Elections shall allow citizens to vote for as many of the candidates on their ballot as they see fit so that members of minority and fringe parties may vote for their candidates without being unable vote for a viable candidate

Election districts with a history of egregious partisan discrimination shall be required to submit all non trivial changes to their election rules and procedures to the justice department for approval. This approval shall include public notifications in a timely manner, a public hearing and sworn testimony from the public officials directly in charge of the election in question
