Modern American System of Health

AKA Government Oversight And Training

AKA Woodsie care

Healthcare for all: I can't believe I have to say this, but I'm going to give it a try. The entire way we are doing healthcare is wrong. The US spends more on healthcare than any other country in the world. I see several problems with our healthcare system.

  1. Too much profit. The big healthcare companies are draining the life out of our country
  2. Drug companies are spending more money on advertising than on developing new medicines. Ask your doctor if not getting ripped off is right for you
  3. We spend a lot of money on paper work to prove that you should receive healthcare
  4. Even with all the money we spend on healthcare, we still don't cover everyone

People deserve to be treated like people. Under MASH, everyone living in the US will pay taxes and everyone will receive care. After cutting out the middlemen, such as insurance companies, that should be enough money for basic coverage for everyone.

Taxes: The care system would be funded by Value Added Tax. Each month, the tax rate will be adjusted to collect 10% of the US GDP. Since this is a type of sales tax, everyone will pay taxes.

Jury of your peers: Americans do not trust our our elected officials or the bureaucrats that they hire. So, our healthcare system will be run by a hundred eligible American voters chosen at random. That way, the American people will decide what their healthcare dollars should buy

Block Grant: Each state would have the option of receiving their healthcare funding as a block grant. The states would have to cover everyone in their own way. That includes a single payer system, if they should prefer. If all fifty states opted for block grants, then the national healthcare jury system would be disbanded.
