Low income housing

I know that I should support this but ...

Who is paying for this. If this is paid for by seattle taxpayers, that's their business. If this is paid for by their landlord, then that's passing the hot potato. It's one thing for Seattle vote with their own money to support the working poor. It's another thing to stick the bill to the building owner. This is like feeding the poor by requiring grocery stores to sell food to poor people at reduced prices. This also leads to landlords not caring about their properties because they're not being paid. Why should they. Their best course of action is to pray for an earthquake that destroys their building and allows them to build a new building that might someday turn a profit.

Never forget the doughnut hole: Low income housing creates a housing system for the rich and for the poor. Rumor has it that there are still people who are still middle class. Worse still, why should anyone aspire to climb out of poverty. Good news, you now have enough income to be held responsible for paying your own bills. Bad new, you can't.
