Every time America selects a new president, Americans throw a big party. In a typical American fashion , this big party is paid for by big contributions from big corporations. Americans think this is great. Americans think that they are getting something for nothing. The problem is that corporations don't give money for free. The US Presidential inauguration is one big big public event where big corporations pay money towards making the next president look good. He who pays the piper chooses the tune. If the American People want to control their own government then the American People need to get used to paying for their own government. That includes the inauguration of their new president
