FTiH - 24 Prayer - Northumberland Deanery

As part of the Forward Together in Hope (FTiH) for our deanery, St Aidan’s, Ashington, is hosting 24 Hours of Prayer.This starts with Holy Mass at 6pm on Friday 12 June 2015 (Feast of the Sacred Heart) and
concluding with Holy Mass (Vigil Mass for Sunday) at 5:30pm on Saturday 13 June 2015 (Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary).
The church will be open throughout this time for prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
All are invited to drop in as and when they can – whether for a short time or for much longer.
Refreshments will be available throughout the 24 Hours.

On the hour, every hour, there will be a short time of prayer led by clergy or a lay person.
A summary of prayer events:
7pm – Prayer for our diocese
9pm – Prayer led by young people
10pm – Prayer centred on Blessed Oscar Romero
2am – Prayer for the dying and sick
4am – Outdoor sunrise service
10am – Scripture Rosary
12 noon – Angelus
1pm – Prayer led by the Filipino community
2pm – Prayer led by Lay Carmelites
3pm – Anointing of the sick
4:15pm – Sacrament of reconciliation

Your prayer will be written on a strip of paper that will become a link in a prayer chain that will be placed on the sanctuary.
