A Lenten Prayer Calendar – Some have asked if we could print the Lenten Prayer Calendar we used last year – Not to disappoint, these are at the back of church – Please help yourselves. For the FaceBook/tweeters amongst you, we will also post/tweet each prayer during lent (tweeter details: @StJohnsRCAnnits hashtag #LentenPrayerCalendar )

PARISH REGISTER – If you have changed or have a new mobile telephone number or email address please complete a Parish Register Form available at the back of church and hand to Fr. Harriott. Thank You

NEW PARISHIONERS - If you are a new member of the parish, would you please make yourself known to Fr. Harriott or a member of the Parish Council and complete a form available at the back of church.

MASS INTENTIONS – Weekday Mass intentions are not too far in advance. Please use envelopes at the back of church. Please give your telephone number in case your requested date is not available.

PROCLAIM '15 – We hope to adapt and use this initiative, please have a think about what this could mean to us.

Purple Ribbon for Lent – We are again promoting the ”Purple Ribbon” campaign, so “blow the cobwebs” of your lapel pin and attach a purple ribbon. Ribbons are available at the back of church. Also, for the “Young@Heart” there are some purple wrist bands – please help yourselves.

GENERAL ELECTION 2015 – Please collect a letter from the back of church to Catholics in England & Wales from their Bishops.

VOCATION DISCERNMENT (for those thinking about Priesthood) various evenings at St. Mary's – See Notice Board.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY – Pat Carr will be organising a raffle Sat. 21st & Sun. 22 March for funds.

CONFIRMATIONS – (14th May 2015) to take place at St. Paul's, Cramlington for anyone year 9 and above. For those that have not already done so, please contact Rob Wareing 07841 530991 or Kathryn Maggs 07540 006414 for info.

MOTHERING SUNDAY – The children of the parish will be taking part in the Sunday Mass (15th March 2015).

ITHIRST – The next Faith talk in a pub is to be held Sunday 15th March 2015 at 7.30pm in the Londonderry, Sunderland SR1 3 ES (see leaflets at the back of church) Jerry Laidler 07801 452372 has a few seats in his car if you require a lift.

MINI PILGRIMAGE TO DURHAM – (Thurs. 26th March 2015). The Diocese are exhibiting icons of the Northern Saints. St. Aidan's, Ashington have asked if St. John's would like to share a coach. If interested please contact Jerry Laidler. --- SORRY BUT THIS IS NOW CANCELLED

CD's EXPLAINING THE MASS – If you have borrowed one of these and found it helpful, please return it so others can look at it. If you require a permanent copy, please let us know and we will try and make one available.

DEANERY EASTER EVANGELISATION PROJECT – Volunteers needed Saturday 21st March 2015 12.30pm at

St. Aidan's, Ashington to prepare small organza bags to be given to all Deanery Parishes to be distributed at Easter vigil and Easter day Masses. Please contact Jerry Laidler 07801 452732 or see parish website.

WHITE RABBIT - RISE Theatre UK Tour 2015 - YMT are delighted to welcome the professional Christian theatre company RISE Theatre, who will be performing their brand new original play ‘White Rabbit’ at:St Mary’s Cathedral, Newcastle on Thursday 26th March 2015 Tickets cost £5.
