PARISH COUNCIL – The next meeting of the PC will be held today Sunday (28^th July) after the 9.30am Mass.

BAPTISMS – Please remember in your prayers Isabelle Sofia Curry who will be baptised today and Florence Elizabeth Pilton who will be baptised on Saturday 3^rd August 2019.

FIRST AIDERS – An update training session has been organised for Backworth Choir First Aiders for Thursday 8^th August 2019 from 12 noon to 3.30pm in the Confederation Room. St. John's First Aiders are also invited to attend the session. Please speak to Gerry Killen to make a reservation as numbers will be limited to 14

PARISH BBQ – Will be held on Saturday 10^th August starting at 3pm. The original list was taken from the back of church and we do not have a copy. Can everyone who was on the original list ensure they are on the new list.

Numbers are restricted to the first 50. Currently there are 30 adults and 8 children on the list.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £4 for children, obtainable from Jan & Angie Memola

PDG MINUTES – These are now publicised on the Partnership Facebook page and on the Sacred Heart's website.

JUSTICE AND PEACE – Please see the poster in the porch giving details of a talk at the Sacred Heart to be given by Shirley Mansfield (a doctor) about her personal experiences working with refugees in Greece

MASS OFFERINGS – Please use the Mass offering envelopes at the back of church and provide a tel. no. just in case your preferred date is not available. Weekday Masses are not too far in advance.

COFFEE AFTERNOONS – The next two Coffee Afternoons will be onThurs. 12^th Sept & 10^th Oct. 2019 at 1.30pm. These are open to ALL, not just parishioners, Please come along and invite a friend and/or your neighbour.
