LIVING THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL, DURHAM CATHEDRAL – SUNDAY 6th SEPT. 2015 at 3.30pm

A celebration of our shared commitment to the Gospels – See poster at the back of church and please put your name on the bus list. This will a joint venture with St. John's Annitsford, St. Paul's Dudley, The Good Shepherd Burradon and hopefully St. Paul's Cramlington.

YOUTH MASS (27^th SEPT. 2015 at 9.30am) PREPARATION – A Youth Mass is planned for St. John's and St. Paul's Youth under the umbrella of FTiH, there will also be a commitment during the Mass by the parents of our First Holy Communion children. Fr. Harriott & Fr. Lee Barrett will concelebrate the Mass.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS – A parents meeting for parents of all those children wishing to make their First Holy Communion next year is to be held in St. John's parish hall on Wed 9^th Sept. 2015 at 6pm

A BIG| THANK YOU - YOUTH MASS (27^th SEPT. 2015 at 9.30am) – A BIG thank you to all adults and kids who turned up for the preparation meeting on Wednesday – your input was invaluable in allowing our churches to come together. We will announce more details of The Youth Mass as we intend to have a kids & adults get together after mass in the hall – All welcome.

FORWARD TOGETHER in HOPE – the next parish meeting will be held on Sunday 30^th August 2015 following the 10am Mass

All twelve questions have now been published in the bulletin and spare paper copies are at the back of church. Please provide your feedback direct to Fr. Harriott or place in the box at the back of church. Minutes of ALL meetings are also in the FTiH book at the back of church, please read and feel free to respond. Jerry Laidler will again be travelling on the bus for those who can't make the next meeting on Sunday 30^th August following the 10am Mass.

Jerry Laidler and PC members will be available at the meeting to listen to, and capture any questions, concerns or ideas.

Important – The Diocese FtiH Team have created a short online questionnaire which can be completed by anyone. Please encourage as many people as possible to complete it. It can be downloaded from St. John's website or the FtiH website www.hope.rcdn.org.uk

MASS INTENTIONS - Mass intentions are not very far in advance, please use the envelopes at the back of church should you wish to have a Mass offered. Please provide your tel. no in case your chosen date is not available.

Deanery Evangelisation Meeting – Saturday 19th Sept 2015 at St. Bede’s Bedlington starting at 12:30pm. Please support this event and come along and meet, talk and share practical ideas that we can use in our parish. There will also be a shared table.
